I thought it would be nice if you knew what type of young man you helped.
You helped a young man who respects his peers, his parents, and his elders.
You helped a young man who dreamed of going to college…and you helped him accomplish that.
You helped a young man who will one day be able to help others.
On Sunday, when he graduates, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Our Mission
MinneapolisNEXT invests in determined, hard-working young people in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, opening doors through which they can emerge as role models for the next generation.

Our Philosophy
MinneapolisNEXT funds need-based high school scholarships and life-changing extra-curricular sports and arts programming, allowing youth to reach their goals and pursue their dreams.
Our signature MinneapolisNEXT scholarship program, in partnership with private high schools, receives the majority of our funding and attention. The financial and emotional support we provide enables low-income families to make choices in education and activities, despite their socioeconomic standing. Furthermore, the scholarships we offer are partial, requiring a tuition contribution from each student's family, so they are actively involved in the educational experiences of their children. This is key to our success, and sets MinneapolisNEXT apart from other organizations — as does our policy of board-paid administrative and operating costs, which means 100 percent of the donations we receive directly benefit kids in need.
In addition, our recently-launched A Lasting Assist movement promotes the belief that one good deed leads to another. We’re partnering with our scholarship recipients to spread the word about our pay-it-forward ethos, chronicling and encouraging acts of kindness and good citizenship.
We believe that by investing capital in local youth today, we ensure a return on our investment for many tomorrows. We hope you’ll join us.
